Smart Glasses Powered by Alexa

Vuzix, a leading supplier of Smart-Glasses and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies and products for the consumer and enterprise markets, will unveil a set of smart glasses powered by Alexa this week at CES, the Las Vegas consumer electronics trade show.

Vuzix – Blade Smart Sunglasses

According to Vuzix, their Vuzix Blade™ provides a natural view of the real world while allowing heads up display and location aware augmented reality content to be naturally overlaid on the view without holding onto a tablet or having to deal with the gyrations required for AR to work on a conventional smartphone.

With an anticipated price of $1,000, the glasses are aimed at a ‘prosumer’ market, such business customers  and golfers.

The announcement by Vuzix is further proof that the third computing platform has arrived.

  1. Oh, man, this sounds like a boon for advertisers. I fear for our future. Will we forever be manipulated into buy things we really don’t need? Will there be no escape?
